So what happens when the Botox is injected? The Botox injection spreads about 1 cm. Any spread beyond just one cm is so small so it has very little chance of accomplishing anything at all. The protein can now be absorbed into the nerves that happen to be within 1 cm with the injection site. Over the up coming 15 minutes, the Botox proteins, now inside the nerve, sees another protein called a SNAP-25, attaches to it, and dissolves it. In the process of doing therefore the Botox itself dissolves. In other words, after 15 minutes, the Botox is GONE.

Remember, the Botox injection disappears in about fifteen minutes. The duration of the effect is based on how long it takes for those nerves to make new SNAP-25 proteins.
