Altered skin integrity as a nursing diagnosis ICU: literature review for an evidenced based nursing practice

Abstract


The pressure ulcer is a common complication in patients at intensive care unit. The aim of this present study was to identify the scientific production in the period of 2002 to 2007, to analyze its applicability to the nurse professional practical related to the nursing diagnosis to the harmed tissular integrity customers. The used methodology was literature review of exploratory nature in a computerized and manual database in the period of 2002 to 2007. The nursing diagnosis is a differential in the assistance to the customer with integrity to tissular harmed. She is necessary that it has envolvement of the team, associated with the commitment and responsibility to reduce the index of UP in Unit of intensive therapy.
